Maintaining cleanliness also helps to keep unwanted substances away, especially ones that may cause mechanisms to stiffen or fail. Any devices with electronics should be switched off when not required to preserve battery life.

Once every six months is typically how often medical equipment should be serviced and reviewed. This ensures that your equipment not only functions as desired, but prevents any risk or harm befalling the user. Our engineers service the whole of Scotland and in some cases the North of England.

If a battery operated piece of equipment no longer operates, then it must be serviced and receive a battery replacement as well as a full maintenance check. Any equipment with wheels that are either stuck or loose must be replaced as soon as possible to prevent injuries caused by wheels falling off or becoming stuck.

Outdated medical equipment can also be harder to repair and maintain when compared to newer equipment, meaning it may require more than two services per year
